Glitch: a post catastrophe rehabilitation proposal

"Glitch" is an honorable mention awarded competition entry for the international Innovative minds 2014 design competition, designed my myself, Douglas Leyva, and Camille Vantalon. Our proposal is set approximately in the year 2150, after sea level rise devastated the city of San Francisco, leaving most of the downtown area under water. The "post catastrophe rehabilitation proposal"  is intended to provide a snapshot of what future cities devastated by sea level rise could look like, and how the city could begin to adapt and become re-inhabited and thrive in its post flood state. The design is based around repurposing existing high rise towers to service basic human needs, and adding a system of nodes that float between the existing buildings, providing additional services,  amenities and public spaces. The focal node in between the three towers we chose would serve as a central hub including a memorial museum for the city, which would allow visitors to not only view, but experience via virtual reality what San Francisco was like before it was under water.
