Danish Resistance Museum

This museum is located in central Copenhagen, Denmark and is designed as a monument and replacement for the original resistance museum. The museum commemorates the Danish resistance to Nazi occupation during WWII.

The site for the project is nestled in a park next to one of the oldest military forts in the world. In order to preserve the quality and tranquility of the park, the building is almost entirely underground, with a minimal glass box over the public atrium and the "shards" of the museum rooms protruding from the earth - signaling the presence of the building.
